Shuron Agnew, CPA, CGMA, MBA, is the Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Pedcor Investments overseeing strategic planning and implementing policies for Accounting and Treasury departments. Additionally, she works closely with Development and Finance departments in the areas of new developments, acquisitions, rehabilitations, and loan refinances. Ms. Agnew graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Shortly after, Ms. Agnew joined Pedcor as a staff accountant preparing financial statements for a portfolio of real estate entities. In 2007, she received her MBA from Anderson University, and in 2014 obtained her CPA license.
Shuron is a devoted community volunteer and mentor who is deeply committed to finding equitable solutions to address racial residential and economic disparities. Most recently, Ms. Agnew served as a volunteered with Starfish Initiative for four years. The Starfish Initiative focuses on providing mentors for high school students from low-to moderate-income families to improve graduation rates and increase commitment to furthering their education for long-term success.
In that program, as a mentor she helped her student grow through teaching her how to balance a part-time job and school, exposing her to the arts, and encouraging her to learn about banking. Ms. Agnew is proud her mentee scholar has graduated from Lawrence Central with honors, and is now attending Ball State University. Ms. Agnew also served in the Indiana Army National Guard for six years and was honorably discharged as Specialist (E4) in 1996.
